Privacy Policy

Effective September 4, 2026. Last updated October 11, 2026.

ISR Networks (“we”, “us”) operates isrnetworks.com and its product websites, including scudrunner.isrnetworks.com, and publishes the ISR ScudRunner and ISR DroneRunner apps for iPhone and iPad. This policy covers those websites and both apps.

Our websites

Information you provide to us

When you submit the contact form on isrnetworks.com, we collect your name, email address, phone number, area of interest, and any message you write. When you request a beta invite through a form on one of our product websites, we collect your name, email address, and any notes you add. You choose what to submit — none of it is required beyond a valid email address.

If you email us, for example to ask about beta testing, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

How we use it

Submissions are stored in a log on our server and forwarded by email to the ISR Networks team responsible — general inquiries, or the team for the product you asked about — so that we can respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

Our websites do not set cookies and do not store anything in your browser. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and our websites do not load any script, font, or other resource from a third-party server — everything is served from our own domain.

Server logs

Like any internet service, our servers automatically record standard connection information for security and troubleshooting: the IP address a request came from, the date and time, the address requested, and the browser or app name and version.

When one of our apps requests data from our servers, the record includes what was requested. For ISR ScudRunner that is the airport, by its identifier or its published coordinates. For ISR DroneRunner it is the latitude and longitude of your launch point. Over repeated use, these records can show which airports or locations were requested and when.

We use these logs to operate and troubleshoot our services. We do not use them to identify individuals, to build a profile of you, or for advertising, and we do not sell or share them.

How long we keep logs

Our web server's access logs, which are the records that include an IP address, are deleted automatically after about 15 days. Our data service also keeps its own operational log, which records the request and the time but not the IP address; that log does not currently have a fixed deletion schedule, and its entries may be kept longer.

Beta testing

When we offer pre-release builds of our apps, they are distributed through Apple's TestFlight, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and terms — Apple, not ISR Networks, handles your Apple ID and TestFlight account data. Crash reports and feedback you choose to send through TestFlight are provided to us by Apple. Apart from that, we see only what you send us when you ask to take part: the form or email you submit.

How long we keep what you send us

We keep form submissions and email until you ask us to delete them. Email contact@isrnetworks.com and we will remove your details.

Your choices

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email contact@isrnetworks.com, scudrunner@isrnetworks.com for anything related to ISR ScudRunner, or dronerunner@isrnetworks.com for anything related to ISR DroneRunner.

Our apps have no accounts, so our server logs are not organized by person. We can search them only by IP address and time.

Our apps

ISR ScudRunner is an aviation weather and airport information app. ISR DroneRunner is a preflight planning app for remote pilots. Both are published by ISR Networks LLC for iPhone and iPad. Neither requires a user account, and neither contains advertising, analytics, or tracking software.

Location in ISR ScudRunner

ScudRunner may use your device's location, with your permission, to identify nearby airports and provide location-relevant aviation weather and other aviation information. Your device's position itself is not sent to us or to the services listed below: the app works out the nearest airports on your device and then requests information for those airports. A request for the airports nearest you does indicate approximately where you are.

You may deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings. ScudRunner can also be used by manually selecting an airport.

Location in ISR DroneRunner

DroneRunner briefs conditions for a launch point. When you open ISR DroneRunner and location access is enabled, the app uses your device's location to establish a launch point and automatically requests relevant aviation and weather information for that location. Your position remains the launch point until you choose a different one by search, map pin, typed coordinates, or a saved location.

To fulfill those requests — for weather, forecasts, radar imagery, maps, flight restrictions, and NOTAMs — the app transmits the launch point's coordinates to ISR Networks servers and to the third-party aviation, weather, and mapping providers listed below, each of which receives the location information needed for what it provides. Requests are made when the launch point is set and then automatically, at intervals, while the app is open, so that the information stays current. They do not wait for a further action from you.

Requests that reach our own servers are currently recorded with those coordinates in the server logs described above.

DroneRunner uses location only while the app is in use; it does not collect location in the background. If you use your device's compass to set a mission bearing, the heading stays on your device.

You may deny or revoke location permission at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings. DroneRunner can then be used by setting a launch point by search, map pin, typed coordinates, or a saved location; that launch point is sent to the same services in the same way.

Services our apps contact

Our apps retrieve information from ISR Networks' own servers and directly from the services below. Each request necessarily carries the network information used in ordinary Internet communications, including your device's IP address. We do not control the other services, and each handles what it receives under its own policies and terms.

  • ISR Networks servers — NOTAMs, flight restrictions, and FAA airport and airspace data. ScudRunner sends the airport; DroneRunner sends the launch point's coordinates and a search radius. Data downloads contain no location.
  • NOAA Aviation Weather Center — weather reports and forecasts. ScudRunner sends airport identifiers; DroneRunner sends an area around the launch point.
  • National Weather Service — forecasts and radar status. The coordinates of the airport (ScudRunner) or the launch point (DroneRunner).
  • Iowa Environmental Mesonet, Iowa State University — radar imagery. The map area being displayed, centered on the airport or launch point.
  • OpenFreeMap — map backgrounds. The map area being displayed.
  • Federal Aviation Administration — airport diagrams in ScudRunner. The diagram requested.
  • Apple — place search and place names in DroneRunner. The search text you type and the map area you are viewing, and the coordinates of a pin you drop. Coordinates you type are read on your device and are not sent to Apple.

Use of a third-party data source by our apps does not imply endorsement of ISR Networks or its apps by that source.

What stays on your device

Our apps store some information on your device so that they work the way you left them. ScudRunner stores your favorite and recently viewed airports, your settings, and downloaded aviation data and airport diagrams. DroneRunner stores the locations you save and the names you give them, your operating limits and settings, downloaded aviation data, and the most recent weather and restriction information, which includes the launch point it was retrieved for.

This stored information is not sent to ISR Networks; a saved location is transmitted only when you use it as a launch point, as described above. Neither app uses iCloud to sync its data. If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, Apple's backup may include app settings and saved items, under your own Apple account. Locally stored app data is not used to create an advertising or user profile.

DroneRunner does not keep your mission or your checklist between sessions. If you copy your operating area or checklist record, it is placed on your device's clipboard for you to paste where you choose; the app does not send it anywhere.

You can delete saved locations and favorites in the apps, and deleting an app removes the information it stored on your device.

Advertising and tracking

Our apps do not contain advertising and do not use advertising tracking technologies. ISR Networks does not use the apps to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Personal information

Our apps do not require registration or an ISR Networks account. ISR Networks does not use the apps to collect names, email addresses, contact information, payment information, or other user-provided personal information.

Purchases and payment processing for our apps are handled by Apple through the App Store. ISR Networks does not receive your payment-card information from Apple.

Calls and links

If you tap a telephone number in either app, such as an airport weather station's, your device asks before placing the call, and the call is made by your phone, not by us. Links to the FAA and other sources open in your browser.

Sale or sharing of personal information

ISR Networks does not sell personal information, and does not use information from our apps or websites for targeted advertising.

General

Children's privacy

Our websites are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Our apps are aviation utilities and are not directed specifically to children; they do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our websites, apps, and services evolve. When we do, we will update the last-updated date above and post the revised version on this page.
